PUMA SERIES RAFTS

The Puma Series boats are great for both whitewater rafting and fishing.  The narrow beam allows these rafts to descend smaller rivers and creeks than our more conventional sized rafts.  Their higher rocker provides an exhilarating ride on whitewater like no other boat!  With sizes ranging from 11 ½’ to 14’ the Puma series rafts have a size to meet your demands.

The Puma combines the agility of an inflatable kayak with the cargo capacity of a raft to create the ultimate play boat.  It is an awesome whitewater paddleboat for 2-4 people or a nifty rowing rig for two people and lightweight gear.  The Puma’s continuous smooth bottom makes it handle like a kayak or a slick hulled drift boat.  It’s equally adept at surfing or holding still above a monster fishing hole.  Whether you are fishing or paddling big rapids, the Puma puts the fun meter in the red zone.

The Super Puma is a larger version of the Puma.  It offers more space for friends and gear.  It can accommodate up to three thwarts and up to 5 paddlers.  The Super Puma’s continuous curve design, short waterline and narrow beam create a highly maneuverable boat that will hold in eddies and behind rocks while your partner hooks that elusive fish. The Super Duper Puma is the Puma series’ newest addition. The Super Duper Puma increases the interior room, load capacity, and stability of the Super Puma.  The Super Duper Puma can accommodate up to 3 thwarts for 8 paddlers and has plenty of room for three anglers. This raft is a happy medium between the sporty Super Puma and the punching power and stability of the 143 D.

D SERIES RAFTS

The popular ‘D’ Series rafts have been improved for 2008 by adding a frame chafe.  This has improved its durability, yet it maintains the same sporty characteristics it has come to be known for.  The ‘D’ rafts are agile, versatile boats that can accommodate a paddle team run down the local river or an expedition amount of gear.

E SERIES RAFTS

The ‘E’ stands for the ‘elliptical’ shape. The ‘E’ Series rafts feature a high rising, pointed bow and a squared stern.  The squared stern makes a nice platform for the paddle captain. Our ‘E’ Series rafts rise 2 inches higher in the bow than our ‘R’ series rafts. ‘E’ series boats have a slightly narrower beam and smaller diameter tubes.  These features cause the boats to ride high on the crest of waves for maximum thrills and maneuverability.  The ‘E’ series rafts are a favorite choice of outfitters on narrow, rocky and technical rivers such as the Ocoee, Gauley and New.

R SERIES RAFTS

The straight sections of the 'R' Series boats now feature a 43-ounce chafe strip for greater durability. 'R' stands for 'round', meaning a traditional round boat design. With their broader beams, larger tube diameters and longer waterlines, these are the most stable of all AIRE rafts. The 'R' Series rafts are ideally suited for families with children and epic three-week trips on the Grand Canyon.

Series Rafts

Tributary rafts are constructed using a two-layer system, a PVC outer skin and internal urethane bladders for superior air retention, abrasion resistance and durability.  All self-bailing rafts are equipped with removable three thwarts and installed floors.

The 9.5’ Standard Floor raft is a traditional raft design.  It features a full diameter tube throughout the boat, and its 7 piece ends create a more efficient raft by allowing the bow and stern rise to be more gradual. The welded PVC outer shell seams and the internal urethane bladders are the foundation of this highly durable non-bailing raft.

Constructed using a two-layer system of a durable PVC outer skin and super tough inner urethane bladders, the 13.0 SB has excellent air retention, durability and abrasion resistance.  The 13.0 SB is a symmetrically designed raft with slightly diminishing tube ends, four comfortable carrying handles and three removable thwarts, making it equally ready for whitewater paddle rafting or a quiet day of fishing.  The floor is laced in using the piano hinge lacing system, which makes this one of the fastest self-bailing boats on the market today.

The 14.0 SB is a symmetrically designed whitewater raft with slightly diminishing tubes in both the bow and the stern.  The designs allows the 14.0 SB raft to punch waves easier than a raft with a larger bow and stern diameter.  The two-layer system, a very durable PVC outer skin and internal urethane bladders, are a great combination for air retention, durability and abrasion resistance.  It comes equipped with three removable thwarts, our acclaimed piano hinge floor lacing system and four comfortable rubberized handles.
