Hyside Padillac Series
There are many designs features built into the Padillac self-bailing inflatable kayak that sets it apart from other inflatables and hard shell canoes and kayaks. There is a peace of mind knowing that the design is so stable you don’t need a brace to keep it from tipping and you can stand up in it. There are several features that are incorporated to have it perform better than other inflatables and very much like a hard shell kayak. Beginning with the single piece tube construction which prevents it from “tacoing” at joints.
Next, the rigid implants in the ends (capped with rubber guards) keep the tips from twisting (other manufacturers wrap a piece of fabric around the tips). And finally the floor is extended and wrapped around the bottom to firmly hold all the parts together. The keel design of the floor gives a directional stability that even a pro can appreciate. The new Padillac Extreme inflatable kayak adds adjustable foot pegs, and adjustable thigh straps.
The kick on all the Padillac IK's is 15.5".
